2024 Call for SGIM Officers & Council Nominations

SGIM’s future depends on dedicated, effective leaders who reflect the full scope of our members’ interests, activities, and backgrounds. SGIM’s leadership positions offer great opportunities to shape the future of our discipline. This year, we are seeking nominees for five positions: President-elect, Secretary-elect, and two at-large Council members. Please help us identify outstanding leaders for to join SGIM current Council:

  • President-Elect: Candidates for President-elect should have a strong track record of commitment and service to the Society, proven collaborative leadership skills, and the ability to integrate SGIM’s diverse interests into the Society’s established organizational goals• Secretary-Elect: Candidates for Secretary-elect should have a strong track record of commitment and service to the Society as well as an interest in promoting effective stewardship of SGIM’s resources• Council Members: Candidates for At-Large Council positions should be emerging leaders known for innovative thinking and collaborative work.

NOMINATIONS: Nominate yourself or your respected colleagues. All candidates should have excellent communication skills, dedication to SGIM’s mission, and be recognized as persons who able to deliver on their commitments. SGIM Bylaws require that nominees must be current members of the Society. Please give serious consideration to finding the strongest candidates for these positions. This is a terrific organization and serving in its leadership offers a fantastic, rewarding opportunity. Conflict of Interest

The Nominations Committee will review all nominations and develop a final slate of candidates. Any candidate asked to run will be asked to fill out SGIM’s Conflict of Interest Policy. The SGIM membership will be asked to vote electronically by no later than March 10, 2025. Election results will be announced prior to the SGIM25 Annual Meeting May 14 – 17, 2025.
