Call for Applications: JGIM Editorial Board At-Large Members

The JGIM Editorial Board is currently looking to fill four at-large member vacancies for the JGIM Editorial Board.

We are particularly looking for representation from the following fields/areas of expertise: minority health, medical education, women’s medicine, systematic reviews, clinical care, QI, UME/GME, and health services research. Previous experience with JGIM, on the boards of other medical journals, or as prior editors of other journals will be prioritized.

The JGIM editorial board is committed to all types of diversity, including gender/gender identity, sexual preference, race/ethnicity, age, and geographic location. Applicants from under-represented groups are particularly encouraged to apply as we work to increase the level of diversity on the editorial board. Members of the JGIM editorial board must be SGIM members in good standing.

Successful candidates will be announced in late March 2025 and join the board as of May 2025 for a three-year term (ending May 2028). The JGIM Editorial Board will meet in person at the SGIM25 annual meeting in Hollywood, FL. All board members are invited to attend – the agenda consists of reports from the current editorial team and SpringerNature, JGIM’s publisher. Travel to/from SGIM meetings is not reimbursed by the Society.

The deadline to apply is January 10, 2024 at 11:59PM ET
