Applications Open: Mid-Atlantic SGIM Regional Emerging Leader Scholarship

The Mid-Atlantic SGIM region is now accepting applications for the Regional Emerging Leader Scholarship, an opportunity for medical students, residents and fellows, and junior faculty who want to build their skills and get more involved in General Internal Medicine. Applications are due Friday, August 21, 2026, at 11:59 PM ET.

Up to six scholarships will be awarded in 2026: up to two for junior faculty and up to four for trainees, with individual awards ranging from $250 to $1,000. Recipients receive financial support to attend the Mid-Atlantic SGIM Regional Meeting, mentorship from current and former regional leaders, and leadership and networking opportunities during and after the meeting.

You don’t need to be presenting at the meeting to apply. If you have a strong interest in GIM and want to build connections across the Mid-Atlantic region, we’d encourage you to put your name forward.
