The Southern Region conducts annual elections each fall to appoint key officials from institutions across the region.

The SGIM Southern Region is currently seeking nominations for Leadership and Awards.
Call for Leadership Nominations
Southern Leadership Board is seeking nominations for the following elected positions:
- President‐Elect
- Secretary/Treasurer‐ Elect
- Membership‐Elect
- Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Chair-Elect.
Qualifications for candidacy include a history of participation in SGIM activities at the regional level. We seek to identify candidates from a range of institutions in the Southern region.
Call for Award Nominations
The SGIM Southern Region is seeking nominations for the following awards:
- Advocacy and Community Service Award
- Award for Excellence in Clinician Education
- Leader in General Internal Medicine (LGIM) Award
- Leadership Development Award
- Regional DEI Award
All nominees must be members of SGIM.

EARN CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION (CME) AMA PRA CATEGORY 1 CREDITS™ and MOC POINTS. Attendees have 30 days following the meeting to complete the required evaluation survey(s).
