AHA: Advancing Your Career is an innovative, high-impact course designed for academic hospitalists who are ready to move beyond the fundamentals. After 4-8 years in practice, many hospitalists develop specialized interests in areas such as administration, education, research, or quality improvement. This distinctive program provides attendees with advanced content to enhance their teaching, support their scholarly work, and strengthen their leadership skills across various academic environments. The course is led by national experts in these fields, offering valuable insights and guidance for professional growth.

Identify and learn the skills necessary in academic hospital medicine to advance your career to the next level, regardless of specific areas of interest
Understand the business and cultural landscape of academic healthcare systems and how to leverage that knowledge to advance interests

What to Expect

Attendees will be immersed in an interactive learning environment that includes didactic sessions, small-group exercises, and skill-building breakout sessions. Each day of learning will be led by distinguished clinician-educators, hospitalist-researchers, and clinical administrators, ensuring a personalized experience with a 1-to-6 faculty-to-participant ratio.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided during all full days of the meeting and are included in the registration fee. Meal breaks provide additional networking opportunities for building connections with faculty and colleagues alike.
