SGIM Interest Groups (IGs) are member-led communities that create connection, leadership pathways, and value for the Society. Interest Groups are peer-led and do not rely on staff for ongoing management, project administration, or routine outreach.
Each IG should maintain at least two and no more than four leaders whenever possible. Although you must reapply as an IG each year, we encourage co-chairs to serve at least two years, and ideally three years, while creating regular opportunities for newer leaders to join the team.
