To further SGIM’s commitment to DEI, the regional DEI champion will work with regional leadership, the regional meeting planning committee, and national SGIM leadership in DEI and anti-racism to define opportunities and implement DEI initiatives. In partnership with the DEI Chair, will develop communication and submission review plans to solicit submissions promoting innovation and idea-sharing around social medicine, health disparities, and workforce diversity, equity, and inclusion. Estimated time is 2-3 hours per month. Term: two years.
