Co-leads the Health Policy Committee in advancing SGIM’s policy priorities and advocacy efforts on issues affecting general internal medicine. The Health Policy Committee (HPC) leads and oversees policy and advocacy activities for SGIM, prioritizing policies that advance the Society’s mission in education, clinical practice, and research. The HPC coordinates SGIM’s direct advocacy activities in collaboration with SGIM leadership and other societies, and supports advocacy by early-career SGIM members. The committee functions through three subcommittees — Research, Education, and Clinical Practice — all of which are currently seeking new members.
