Co-leads the Health Equity Commission in advancing its mission and supporting SGIM’s strategic priorities. The Health Equity Commission (HEC) serves as SGIM’s chief advocate for health equity in education, research, and clinical care. The HEC works collaboratively to dismantle structural inequities, optimize clinical care, and promote social justice for historically marginalized populations through education, advocacy, research, and scholarship. Members are expected to contribute to at least one HEC activity per year.
