Co-leads the Geriatrics Commission in advancing its mission and supporting SGIM’s strategic priorities. The Geriatrics Commission promotes research, clinical excellence, and education in geriatrics, with a particular focus on issues relevant to the generalist. The commission collaborates with other SGIM commissions, committees, and external societies to advance excellent care across the lifespan, with emphasis on geriatric syndromes, transitions of care, and alternative care delivery models. Geriatric specialty training is not required to join.
