Overview
Dataset Summary
The Area Health Resource Files (AHRF) compile county-level health care workforce, population, health facility, and socioeconomic data from multiple federal sources across the United States. The dataset is widely used for health policy and health services research to examine geographic variation in health care supply, access, and community characteristics, and to support workforce planning and policy analysis.

- Variables are drawn from multiple source datasets with differing update cycles
- Temporal consistency may vary across measures and years
