Biography

Dr. TaRessa Wills earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA, followed by her Doctorate of Medicine degree from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, DC. She is currently a board-certified Internal Medicine physician who joined Emory University School of Medicine faculty as an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Emory Division of Hospital Medicine at Grady Memorial Hospital in 2019.

Dr. Wills currently serves as the Associate Site Director of Hospital Medicine at Grady Memorial Hospital, where she assists in leading over 50 providers in delivering compassionate, direct care to Atlanta, Georgia’s most vulnerable populations. She encourages diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts in her group by co-leading a DEI special interest group, which provides educational opportunities through discussing literature and books that focus on issues of diversity and inclusion.

In the Emory University Department of Medicine, she serves on the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council, and in the School of Medicine, she serves on the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and Racial Advocacy Faculty Advisory Committee. Dr. Wills is actively involved in the Society of General Internal Medicine and has been a long-standing member of the American College of Physicians.
