Biography

Dr. Rita Lee is a Professor of General Internal Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Rita received her medical degree from the University of California, Los Angeles and completed residency training at the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Lee has devoted her career to education in leadership, health equity, and advocacy. She is the Director of the Health Equity in Action Lab for the Anschutz Medical Campus Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Community Engagement.  She also directs Health and Society, the School of Medicine’s Health Systems Science curriculum. Dr. Lee has also been a core faculty member for the ACGME Chief Resident Leadership Development Program. Rita is a founding member of the UCHealth Integrated Transgender Program and sits on the Advisory Board for the National LGBTQIA+ Health Education Center.
