Biography
Meghan M. Kiefer is an Associate Professor of Medicine, Division of General Internal Medicine, at the University of Washington School of Medicine (UW) in Seattle. She received her MD with honors from UW, completed her Internal Medicine residency in the Primary Care track at Massachusetts General Hospital, then returned to UW for a National Research Services Awards primary care research fellowship and received her Masters in Public Health. She is the Director of Educational Experience at UW School of Medicine, developing curricular innovations and overseeing curricular quality improvement, and leads the Transition to Clerkships course. Dr. Kiefer enjoys teaching in clinical and didactic settings and has a special interest in supporting academically vulnerable learners. She is currently a PI for the AMA’s Coaching for Competency groundwork team, working within a national consortium to develop program evaluation tools for medical education coaching programs. Dr. Kiefer is in her second year of a Masters of Education in the Health Professions program at Johns Hopkins University.
