Biography
Lauren Peccoralo, MD, MPH, is the Associate Chief Wellness Officer and Senior Associate Dean for Faculty Well-Being and Development at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (ISMMS) and a Professor in the Department of Medicine. Dr. Peccoralo graduated from Princeton University and earned her Medical and Masters in Public Health Degrees from Mount Sinai. She completed her internal medicine residency, chief residency and general medicine fellowship at Mount Sinai and practices as a primary care internist. Dr. Peccoralo has developed a robust Faculty Well-being Program with a network of over 40 departmental Faculty Well-being Champions, as well as a Physician and Scientist Leadership Workshop series to build leadership behaviors that enhance well-being and engagement. She oversees a team that delivers mentor training, promotions planning and readiness workshops and grant development programs. She is a former graduate of the SGIM LEAD and WELL programs and presents and publishes scholarly work related to healthcare worker wellbeing and leadership in medicine.
