Dr. Holmes-Maybank is living proof of what the Academic Hospitalist Academy can launch. After attending AHA, she pursued her Master of Science in Clinical Research and went on to hold course director roles, lead a complex specialty clinic, and publish scholarship across addiction medicine, sickle cell disease, and graduate medical education. She brings deep expertise in the scholarly work pipeline from idea to publication and understands what it takes to move from early faculty to institutional leader. As a Deputy Editor for the Journal of Hospital Medicine, she offers a rare perspective on how scholarly work gets created, reviewed, and disseminated.
