Biography
Dr. Katherine Killian is Associate Program Director and Director of the Primary Care Track at the Lenox Hill Hospital Internal Medicine Residency Program. She received an MD/MPH from Emory University School of Medicine and completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Dr. Killian also holds a Master’s in Health Professions Education from Hofstra University.
With a focus on curriculum development and adult learning theory, Dr. Killian has restructured the primary care track to include near peer teaching and interprofessional collaboration. Dr. Killian was recognized with Teacher of the Year awards from Lenox Hill Hospital and the Northwell Health system in 2019. Her current initiatives include launching a point of care ultrasound training program and exploring how emerging technologies support learning for medical trainees.
