Biography
Janani Raveendran, MD, MEd is a board-certified internist and adjunct assistant professor of medicine at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. She is passionate about empowering diverse patient populations to advocate for their health, as well as training the next generation of physicians. Dr. Raveendran precepts at the GW Healing Clinic and delivers lectures in the Primary Care Clerkship. Her research interests include novel teaching models for outpatient medicine.
Dr. Raveendran earned her MD with a Scholarly Concentration in Health Policy from GW SMHS and then graduated from the Yale Internal Medicine Primary Care Residency Program with a Clinician Educator Distinction. She has been awarded for her excellence in primary care and is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Before pursuing her medical career, Dr. Raveendran taught high school science with Teach For America and received her MEd from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
