Biography
Ines Robles Aponte is a Postdoctoral Clinical Fellow and Assistant Attending Physician in the Division of General Medicine at New York Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. She is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Epidemiology at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. Ines completed her residency in internal medicine at Icahn School of Medicine Mount Sinai Morningside/West. Her academic interests include health services research with a focus on food insecurity and social services referral use among high-risk patients. Additionally, she has worked on creating a service-based learning curriculum to teach social determinants of health. She has presented her work at various local and national conferences. In 2023, she received the Unified Leadership Training in Diversity Award (UNLTD). Ines plans to continue practicing and teaching primary care medicine in medically underserved communities and finding ways to improve health access and utilization.
