Biography
Danielle R. Fine, MD, MSc, is a physician-investigator in the Division of General Internal Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. A graduate of Drexel University College of Medicine, Dr. Fine completed her internal medicine residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. She subsequently pursued the Harvard-wide General Medicine and Primary Care Research Fellowship, earning a Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Dr. Fine’s research focuses on improving access to and outcomes of substance use disorder treatment among marginalized populations. Her current projects include an NIH/NIDA K23-supported study developing and pilot testing a peer recovery support intervention for opioid use disorder treatment in the homeless health care setting and a Center for AIDS Research grant evaluating methamphetamine use and its impact on HIV risk in the homeless population.
