Biography

Quratulain (Annie) Syed, MD is a geriatrician at the Atlanta VA GERI-PACT clinic and Assistant Professor at Emory University School of Medicine. She is also a Health and Aging Policy Fellow (2023-2024 cohort).

Dr. Syed completed medical school at Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan, followed by a residency in Internal Medicine (Primary Care Track) at Elmhurst Hospital (Mt. Sinai Program), NY, and a fellowship in geriatric medicine at Loyola University Medical Center, IL. She has practiced various models of care, including safety net, value-based care, academic fee-for-service, and the integrated VA healthcare system. Her research interests include innovative models of care and payment in primary care and geriatrics, and deprescribing.
