New England Call for Award Nominations

The SGIM New England region has developed rigorous criteria that recognize outstanding clinical educators, researchers, advocacy & community service, and leaders. These criteria go beyond those traditionally used for identifying those with excellence in research criteria, such as peer‐reviewed publications or grant support. Recipients will be recognized at the regional SGIM meeting.

The deadline for all award nominations is Monday, September 30, 2024.

Here are the awards that we are currently seeking nominations for:

1. Advocacy and Community Service Award: The Advocacy and Community Service Award is designed to honor members of the SGIM of the Northwest Region who have notably contributed to enhancing the health of their community through advocacy and/or community service.
2. Award for Excellence in Clinician Education
3. Leader in General Internal Medicine (LGIM) Award
4. Award for Excellence in Clinician Investigation: The award applies to individuals working towards developing their careers as Clinician Investigators.
5. Regional DEI Award

To be eligible for these awards, all nominees must be full members or associate members of SGIM. The nomination deadline is September 30, 2024.
