Applications Open: Midwest SGIM Regional Emerging Leader Scholarship

The SGIM Midwest Region is currently accepting applications for the Regional Emerging Leader Scholarship, supporting medical students, residents and fellows, and junior faculty who want to build leadership skills and get more involved in General Internal Medicine.

Who can apply: Medical students, residents and fellows, and junior faculty within five years of completing residency or fellowship training.

Awards: Up to six scholarships (up to two junior faculty, up to four trainee), ranging from $250 to $1,000 based on need and available funding.

Membership: Junior faculty must have active SGIM membership at the time of application. Trainee recipients who are not members must join SGIM before receiving the award.

Application deadline: Friday, September 11, 2026, at 11:59 PM ET.
