Call for Manuscripts: JGIM Health Equity Special Issue

SGIM’s Health Equity Commission and the Journal of General Internal Medicine (JGIM) are inviting manuscript submissions for a special theme issue: Equity in a Time of Headwinds: Accelerating Scholarship, Leadership, and Advocacy in Health Equity.

The issue seeks rigorous, solutions-oriented scholarship on advancing health equity amid today’s policy and institutional challenges. All article types are welcome, including original research, perspectives, reviews, and innovations papers.

At least one author must be a current SGIM member. Early-career faculty, residents, and fellows are encouraged to submit with mentorship.

Submissions open July 1, 2026. Deadline: October 1, 2026.
