This is a recorded session from the SGIM 2025 Annual Meeting in Florida.
Access to healthcare remains unequal across the United States, with significant disparities in states without Medicaid expansion, resulting in delays in care and poorer outcomes.
This session explores how physicians can amplify patient experiences to advocate for healthcare equity locally and nationally. It will also explore how clinician researchers and educators can leverage their research and teaching for health equity advocacy.
Joining the SGIM25 Advocacy chairs, Dr. Dianne Goede, Associate Professor at the University of Florida, and Dr. Maura George, Associate Professor of Medicine at Emory University, is Scott Darius, Executive Director of Florida Voices for Health (FVH). He will share the work that FVH does with statewide coalition partners on campaigns and initiatives to further the health of all Floridians.
Expiration: June 1, 2028
