Since 1999, SGIM has collaborated with UpToDate to review UpToDate content. SGIM members review specialty topics to ensure accuracy and relevancy to primary care providers. Among other benefits, this collaboration allows SGIM members, particularly junior clinician-educators, to work with senior SGIM members to improve the accuracy, quality, and clinical relevance of information that is used extensively by their colleagues in the care of patients. Senior members help teach junior members how to perform appropriate reviews and think about the presentation of evidence.
SGIM also awards a one-year subscription to UpToDate to up to 20 clinicians working in domestic resource-limited settings who do not have the funds to subscribe. For more information or to apply for the UpToDate Subscription Grant, please go to Awards and Grants.
