Mentorship Programs

SGIM values collegial support and mentorship as well as building partnerships and interdisciplinary collaboration opportunities.  The organization has demonstrated a commitment to mentorship in the past and continues to strive to provide its members with programs that meet their personal and professional growth needs.

Annual Meeting Mentoring

This programming provides opportunity for students, residents, fellows, and faculty to access mentors during the annual meeting and have their questions answered on issues around career growth and practicing general internal medicine.

Longitudinal Mentoring

Longitudinal mentoring programs provides guidance within a longer-term, structured program based on pre-determined goals and expectations.  These programs require a commitment for a set period of time and meetings can take place in-person, over the phone, and via email.
