The Society of General Internal Medicine (SGIM) promotes improved patient care, education, and research in primary care and general internal medicine. Members include GIM educators, researchers, medical professionals, administrators, residents, fellows, and students throughout the United States, Canada and 26 other countries.  

SGIM provides the tools that enable you to excel in the practice of general internal medicine and your career regardless of your experience level. As you explore the many facets of being a member, you will find the programs and activities of SGIM to be innovative and a reflection of the shared interests and needs of its members.
