The SGIM Career Achievement in Medical Education Award was awarded annually from 1996 to 2023. This prestigious award recognized outstanding clinician-educators whose lifetime contributions have profoundly advanced and widely impacted the art and science of medicine and medical education. In 2024, the award was retired, and the new Achievement in Education and Innovations Award debuted.
