Biography
Sudeep Aulakh, MD, FACP, FRCPC, is an assistant professor and primary care clinician-educator at Baystate Health – University of Massachusetts Medical School. She grew up in Montreal and earned her medical degree at McGill University-Faculty of Medicine. Sudeep completed her residency at Baystate Health and went on to complete a fellowship in General Internal Medicine at Rhode Island Hospital.
In addition to her enthusiasm for primary care, she is passionate about teaching. She has been involved with graduate education throughout her career and has a strong interest in interprofessional education. She has served as Associate Program Director at Albany Medical Center, Co-Director of Baystate’s Primary Care Residency Program, and currently as the Director of Ambulatory Education for the Internal Medicine Residency program at Baystate. Sudeep is also part of the leadership team for Bay Path University’s Physician Assistant Program in the role of Medical Director.
The Society of General Internal Medicine has been an influential component of Sudeep’s career. She first presented a poster at SGIM as a fellow and has since served as a moderator at the regional meeting, reviewed abstracts, and presented workshops at the national meeting; she has served as Secretary-Treasurer for the NE region and is currently the Membership Chair for the NE region.
She has introduced many of her trainees to SGIM, hoping to fuel their love of scholarship as it did for her many years ago.
