Biography

Jacqueline Savage, MD, is an internist and Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Department of General Internal Medicine at Yale University. She serves as an Associate Program Director and Co-Director of Ambulatory Education for the Traditional Internal Medicine Residency Program. She is a member of both the Clinical Competency Committee and the Intern Selection Committee and chairs the Academic Support Committee in the residency program.

Dr. Savage’s academic interests focus on medical education and simulation, dermatologic examination, disaster preparedness, and emergency management. Her work explores the role of internists in interdisciplinary emergency response teams, with particular emphasis on team dynamics and the teaching of foundational personal preparedness in the community.

She is a two-time recipient of the Excellence in Teaching Award and has also received the Connecticut Chapter of the American College of Physicians Early Career Physician Teaching Award and the Medical University of South Carolina Alumni Emerging Leader Award.
