Biography
Fareeha Khan, MD, is an academic Hospitalist at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB), where she leads innovative curricular initiatives in narrative medicine and professional identity formation. She spearheaded a longitudinal Narrative Medicine Curriculum for internal medicine residents and developed sessions grounded in narrative medicine to foster professional identity formation in first-year medical students enrolled in a leadership-focused scholarly concentration track. Dr. Khan has delivered invited talks and regional workshops on narrative medicine and has introduced creative formats to engage learners across multiple residency programs. She also serves as Director of the MS3 Boot Camp, preparing students for their clinical clerkships. In addition to her work in humanism and medical education, Dr. Khan is leading efforts to build AI literacy among students and educators. She has held leadership roles within other regional medical societies and is passionate about advancing academic medicine through innovation, reflection, and connection.
