Biography

Ebrahim Barkoudah, MD, MPH, MBA, FACP, SFHM, FACHE, is Chief of the Division of Hospital Medicine and Associate Professor of Medicine at UT Southwestern, where he oversees hospitalist services across hospitals in the Dallas area. He held a faculty appointment at Harvard Medical School and previously served as System Chief of Hospital Medicine and Regional Chief Medical and Quality Officer at Baystate Health, with prior leadership roles at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Dr. Barkoudah trained at UT Health Science Center, completed his MPH at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, his MBA at Oxford’s Saïd Business School, and a Quality and Safety fellowship at IHI, with leadership training at HBS. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications with expertise spanning outcomes research, hospital medicine operations, and healthcare quality improvement. He serves on multiple national committees for ACP and SHM.
