Biography

Rani Nandiwada, MD, MSEd, is an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine in the Division of General Internal Medicine. She went to medical school at the George Washington University SMHS, primary care residency and as a chief resident at New York University, and an Academic Clinician Educator Scholars Fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh. She served as the Director of the Medical Education and Leadership track for the Internal Medicine Residency Program for 6 years prior to becoming the Primary Care Program Director. Within SGIM nationally, she has served as the co-chair for the EBM sub-committee, a member of the Education Committee, and received the Brancati Mentorship and Leadership award. Regionally, she has served as the Mid-Atlantic secretary and chair of the teaching competition.  She works on curricula focusing on health system science, outpatient primary care, and coaching for excellence.
