Biography
Dr. Christopher Terndrup is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC). He studied Spanish and Mathematics at Tulane University before staying for medical school. He completed residency training at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in the Urban Health Primary Care Leadership track, where he was Chair of the House Staff Council. After six years at Oregon Health & Science University, he joined VUMC in 2023 to support the growth of VIVID Health, VUMC’s LGBTQ+ clinical service lines. He continues his educational efforts as Associate Program Director for VUMC’s LGBTQ+ Healthcare fellowship and directs the LGBTQ+ Healthcare Certificate Programs for trainees. He serves as Associate Program Director in the Internal Medicine Residency, focusing on wellness and professional development. He has garnered early recognition with the Outpatient Preceptor Award and helped Vanderbilt’s Pride in Medicine student group win chapter of the year from the Medical Student Pride Alliance.
