Biography

Chris Jackson serves as Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, Associate Program Director for Curriculum, and an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) Internal Medicine Residency. A native of Augusta, GA, he graduated from Emory University with a degree in Biology and Sociology. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree at the Medical College of Georgia. He completed his internal medicine and chief residency year in patient safety and quality improvement at UTHSC before joining the faculty in the Division of General Internal Medicine and the Center for Health System Improvement in 2019. He has won multiple awards for mentorship, including the SGIM Frederick L. Brancati Award.
