Biography
Akanksha Togra is an internal medicine resident at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso, Texas. She brings a unique and rich academic foundation, having completed a Clinical Pharmacology residency before her current residency. Akanksha is driven by intellectual curiosity, purpose, and a quiet determination that reflects in both her academic and clinical work.
Her leadership journey began early, organizing numerous educational, cultural, and sporting events throughout medical school and residency. Outside the hospital, she enjoys playing volleyball, has represented her team at the national level, and has served as its captain. She is also a licensed scuba diver, drawn to exploration, focus, and pushing limits; qualities she brings into her professional life as well.
Akanksha has a strong research focus and she has earned accolades in national conferences including Outstanding and Presidential Poster Awards. She is especially interested in integrating translational research, clinical pharmacology, and AI-driven innovation into medicine. She strives to contribute meaningfully to patient care, academic medicine, and the broader healthcare community.
