Biography

Aba Black, MD, MHS, received her bachelor’s degree from Princeton University and earned her MD at the University of Rochester. She completed her residency at the Yale Primary Care Internal Medicine Program, where she also served as chief resident. She holds a Master of Health Science degree in medical education. She currently serves as Vice Chief for DEI for Yale General Internal Medicine and Associate Program Director for the Yale Primary Care Internal Medicine residency program.  She leads initiatives related to underrepresented in medicine recruitment and retention, and spearheads trainee and faculty development. Clinically, she works as a primary care physician for urban underserved patients. In recognition of her contributions, she was recently awarded the CT American College of Physicians DEI Award for promoting physician diversity and inclusion with outstanding achievements in mentoring, leadership development, and role modeling for physicians and medical students from diverse and/or underrepresented populations.
