Congress Shines a Light on Use of Data and Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare

Two recent hearings on artificial intelligence (AI) underscore that the use of AI across different sectors continues to be a major focus of Congress and the Administration. On March 3, the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation’s Subcommittee on Science, Manufacturing, and Competitiveness convened a hearing titled “Less Hype, More Help: AI That Improves Safety, Productivity, and Care” to examine how AI can improve Americans’ quality of life, create jobs, and drive economic growth.
