The Philanthropy Committee coordinates with the Development Officer and Director of Finance to:
- Cultivate major gift prospects to solicit larger donations (> $1000) from SGIM members;
- Solicit annual donations from all members via SGIM’s Forging Our Future program;
- Promote SGIM’s Legacy Program, where SGIM members include SGIM in their giving plans and bequests;
- Communicate with donors to ensure appropriate recognition and engagement;
- Nurture a culture of philanthropy in SGIM, including activities that encourage general donations from all members;
- Cultivate relationships with major external funders; and,
- Pursue new funding opportunities.
