The Membership Committee supports the mission of SGIM by cultivating a healthy membership by recruiting and retaining a diverse, inclusive, and active membership of educators, researchers, and clinicians in academic general internal medicine in the United States and around the world. The Membership Committee identifies members’ needs, priorities, and satisfaction with the Society; works with other leaders to develop and implement plans; and collaborates with Council and other work groups to devise strategies for attracting and retaining a diverse group of members.
