In This Month's Issue

In the September issue of SGIM Forum, we learn how internists can better treat autism in adults. SGIM President Dr. Estrada shares key insights from the Council’s summer retreat, and CEO Dr. Bass reflects on the successes of the 2025 Annual Meeting alongside Drs. Cosco (Chair) and Radomski (Co-Chair). Associate Editor Dr. Bhowmik highlights opportunities to improve HIV treatment for transgender patients.

This issue also features two unique outpatient clinics: a telehealth partnership between Denver Health and the Denver Housing Authority, and a student-run clinic recognized for the educational and service benefits it provides. Finally, Dr. Voit offers strategies to strengthen care for older adults by identifying and addressing ageism in clinical practice.
