In This Month's Issue

In the November issue of SGIM Forum, we take a closer look at the ways AI is shaping care on the inpatient wards and how clinicians are adapting to it. SGIM President Estrada shares insights on how professional societies help advance the careers of academic hospitalists, while SGIM CEO Bass talks with leaders from the Forum to Address Attacks on Health Professionals about their efforts and new opportunities for advocacy. We also highlight a fellow-led initiative at USF aimed at helping trainees feel more confident when calling consults, explore how primary care for patients with HIV can address the shortage of ID physicians, and provide practical guidance for trainees weighing dual degree options, including when and how to make that decision.
