This is a recorded session from the SGIM 2025 Annual Meeting in Florida.
The care of hospitalized patients has become increasingly complex. Providers are responsible for this care should be equipped with the most recent evidence to provide high-quality, safe, patient-centered, cost-conscious, equitable care. This session, developed for hospitalists and non-hospitalists who provide care in the inpatient setting, will present an update in hospital medicine, using the most significant publications and their potential impact on care in the past year. The presenters will use a case-based and interactive format.

- Describe two possible changes in your use of diagnostic tests for hospitalized medical patients
- Describe a change in how you may communicate with hospitalized medical patients
