The Journal of General Internal Medicine (JGIM) is the official journal of the Society. It promotes improved patient care, research, and education in primary care, general internal medicine, and hospital medicine. Its articles focus on topics such as clinical medicine, epidemiology, prevention, health care delivery, curriculum development, and numerous other non-traditional themes, in addition to classic clinical research on problems in internal medicine.

SGIM Forum is the Society’s official newsletter, published monthly. Forum offers articles, essays, thought pieces, and editorials that reflect on healthcare trends, report on Society activities, & explore critical issues for general internists in U.S. & global healthcare. Forum is dedicated to serving the needs of its members by engaging in thoughtful debates, sharing clearly articulated perspectives, and presenting innovations in research, education, advocacy, and clinical practice.
