This scholarship program is designed to allow SGIM’s medical students and residents to attend its regional meetings and to develop educational and leadership skills in the field of GIM.

The scholarship is intended to offset the cost of attending your regional SGIM meeting outside of your city, including costs such as registration, poster printing, hotel, and travel up to $500.

The Regional Young Scholars Program will open on January 15, 2025, and close on February 12, 2025, for the 2025 Northwest Regional Meeting.

Who should apply?

Medical students, interns, and residents who are interested in attending their respective regional meeting of SGIM.

Preference will be given to applicants who live more than 50 miles from the meeting location, first-time attendees, those presenting at this year’s regional meeting, and those who are not eligible for other financial assistance through their training programs.

We encourage all students and residents who are interested to join SGIM and apply for the scholarship today! Learn more about membership.

Why should I apply?
