Description:Lead by primary author, Michael Rotblatt, MD, PharmD, The Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) interest group of SGIM created a policy statement brief concerning CAM education in Internal Medicine training. This statement is designed to: introduce Internal Medicine educators to the importance of CAM education and suggest possible goals and strategies for a CAM curriculum. Appendix A provides CAM definitions and controversies of use. Appendix B provides suggested CAM resources.
