Publications

SGIM has a variety of publications that act as vehicles for dialogue and interaction among members and the scientific community at large.  Published monthly (in both hard copy and electronic form), the Journal of General Internal Medicine provides cutting-edge medical research to the internal medicine community.   SGIM Forum (also monthly) provides insight into the SGIM community and reports Society activities.  Other publications, like SGIM's residency and fellowship directories, are sources of specific medical, curriculum, and program material.  The Society also publishes occasional white papers and press releases to alert the medical community to its position on a variety of current issues.

Journal of General Internal Medicine - JGIM offers a unique perspective in the medical community with important articles on clinical care, medical education, and health services research.  JGIM offers early publication on the internet to reach a broad audience, with online access to abstracts and full articles rapidly growing each year.

SGIM Forum - Forum offers articles, essays, thought-pieces and editorials that reflect on health care trends, report on Society activities, and air important issues in general internal medicine and the health care system at large.

Press Releases - SGIM periodically distributes press releases about Society news and awards.

President's Bulletin Board - Visit the new SGIM member bulletin board and join your colleagues in discussion about various SGIM initiatives.

eNews - SGIM distributes a bimonthly electronic newsletter to all members, announcing Society news as well as other news relevant to members.  Please click here for guidelines on submitting items to eNews.
