SGIM LEAHP
The Leadership in Health Policy Program (LEAHP) is dedicated to cultivating a cadre of skilled health policy advocates, leaders, and educators. Participants will play an active role in forwarding the SGIM’s policy goals and enhancing its impact on national health policy. As a LEAHP participant, you'll be at the forefront of shaping SGIM's health policy endeavors and expanding its national reach.

John Goodson Leadership
in Health Policy Scholarship
New for 2024: Apply for the inaugural John Goodson Leadership in Health Policy Scholarship. This scholarship is available for one incoming LEAHP Scholar who is working in the field of clinical practice/payment reform. It honors John D. Goodson, MD, and his decades-long contributions to SGIM advocacy for the clinical practice of general internal medicine.
An award of up to $5000 is available for the inaugural Goodson LEAHP Scholar. Each award will cover materials related to the LEAHP program at the recipient’s discretion, which may include expenses associated with completing a capstone project or other program expenses.
Application for this scholarship is done alongside an application for the LEAHP program and requires a response to an additional essay question.
