SGIM Geriatrics Scholarships and Awards


Annual Meeting Awards Available for Geriatric-Based Abstracts
Six awards of five hundred dollars ($500) each will be given to the highest rated geriatrics-based abstracts submitted for peer review at the SGIM Annual Meeting.  These awards are reserved for students, residents, fellows or junior faculty who are current members of SGIM.  Awardees will receive the $500 stipend in the form of reimbursement for expenses incurred from attending the SGIM Annual Meeting.

T. Franklin Williams Scholars Award
This award is intended to support the professional development of junior physician-scientists in divisions of General Internal Medicine who are conducting research that seeks to improve the understanding of important health care problems of older adults.  The T. Franklin Williams Award is offered by SGIM, ACGIM and ASP with the support of the Atlantic Philanthropies USA (Inc.)
